ABOUT

I graduated from St. John Fisher College, with a double major in Digital Cultures and Technologies and Media & Communications. I love being creative and unique, and I have found that these fields allow me to do just that. Some fields that I am interested in are social media, layout design, rebranding and creating logos and newsletters, web design,  and photography. I have experience using TextWrangler, Brackets, Dreamweaver and Wild Apricot to code and create webpages. I also have experience using InDesign to create newsletters, logos, business cards and magazines. During college I was President of JoRoffs yearbook club for the 2012 school year. As president, I helped to create the yearbook by assisting in taking photo's and using Photoshop to edit all of them to ensure proper printing quality. I also created the theme.  Being President gave me the opportunity to work with a Balfour representative and showed me that I can work well under pressure. It also furthered my interest in portrait photography.

In my Sophomore and Junior years I was the Communications Coordinator for the Fisher Gaming Club. As part of this title, I went to staff meetings and participated in planning events. I also used social media and email to let the campus know the dates, times, locations and other general information for the events.

Another aspect of being in these two clubs was attending the  Activities Fair once a year. There we would show off what we have done and try to get both incoming Freshman and upperclassmen involved. Being involved with clubs at St. John Fisher has taught me how to work in a collaborative environment and  learn how to adapt and present information in different ways depending on your audience. In addition to finding a career field that I am passionate about, College also gave me the opportunity to work with real clients needs and projects. I feel that this definitely gave me the tools that I needed to be successful at my internship.

After college, I had an internship at the Rochester Academy of Medicine. My job description included  redesigning their website, creating invitations, testing out new logos and managing their Facebook account, all while working closely with my supervisor for content and design approval.

I am a hard worker and strive for success in everything that I do.
